The trip provides the best of what has to offer: a stay in the country’s capital combined with trip to the High Tatra Mountains, rafting at the Dunajec River in the Pieniny National Park and Spiš Region art treasures. Accommodation in fine hotels, stays include meals at restaurants.

Itinerary:

Friday – arrival to Bratislava-Airport, individual transfer to the Hotel****, three-hours guided tour of Bratislava (Castle Hill, walk through the Old Town , basic orientation), welcome dinner at the typical local restaurant  [D]

Saturday – morning trip to the Small Carpathians (excursion to the Modra pottery manufacture, Renaissance fortress Červený Kameň, Small Carpathian Museum + wine sampling), lunch, leisure afternoon in Bratislava [B, L]

Sunday – departure from Bratislava for Trenčín (Roman plaque, charming town under majestic medieval castle), Liptovský Mikuláš (Classical Revival synagogue), arrival to the High Tatra, accommodation at the hotel***, dinner at hotel [B, D]

Monday – Kežmarok wooden Lutheran church, gondoling at the Dunajec River through the Pieniny National Park, outdoor picnic at the Chata Pieniny [B, L]

Tuesday - morning trip to Strbske Pleaso Glacial Lake or to Studenovodske Waterfalls, afternoon – Spiš Circle: Levoča – St. James Church with Gothic Altars of Master Paul, Spišská Kapitula – walled town of the Catholic Church, Spišské Podhradie – majestic castle ruin of Spiš castle, dinner at Koliba (typical mountain styled restaurant with Gypsy music programme) [B, D]

Wednesday – departure from the High Tatra, breath-taking drive through the Low Tatra (Čertovica or Donovaly pass), stop in historic Banská Bystrica, afternoon arrival to Bratislava, accommodation at the Hotel****, farewell dinner [B, D]

Thursday –  individual transfer to the Bratislava -Airport, departure [B]

Price: 1250 EUR/per person (staying in double/twin-room), 1550 EUR/per person (staying in single-room)
